Steve McLaughlin: Community Services Offered by The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

An accomplished financial professional and current Managing Partner of FT Partners in San Francisco, Steve McLaughlin contributes to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Founded in 1996, the hospital provides a full range of medical services and programs to children on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Here is a quick look at some of the community-oriented programs available through The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Adolescent Initiative: To prevent the spread of HIV among teens, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia sponsors an integrated initiative to educate at-risk youth in the community. The programs, which reach out to teens and young adults between the ages of 12 and 24, include clinical care, prevention, training, and research.

Early Head Start: To help pregnant women ensure a healthy start for their newborns, the hospital sponsors a number of workshops and child development activities. It also provides valuable prenatal education, behavioral health support, and support for children with disabilities.

In addition to these programs, the hospital sponsors a Poison Control Center, the Community Asthma Prevention Program, and Safe Place: The Center for Child Protection and Health. To learn more, visit CHOP.edu/service.
